Up to 150 homeless and abandoned animals come through our rescue each year and we find placement for an average of 300 additional animals each year!!
We have a strong and very productive Facebook, Animal Networking page, where we actively assist in finding homes for homeless and abandoned animals each day. We do this while also taking in and caring for many others. We have, on average, 50+ animals in our care at our rescue and in foster homes at any given time. We are also a permanent home to many animals that are NOT able to be adopted out, due to severe phycological trauma caused by the abuse & neglect they have received prior to their rescue.
We DO NOT receive any government funding, not local or federal. We run solely on donations from friends like you and our own pockets. Donations are a key factor in saving these precious animals lives. We must pay for their housing, vetting, spay/neuter (all animals must be & are altered prior to adoption), all vaccinations, food, rehabilitation, transport, foster care, and any other costs associated with the animals rescue and care there after. We feel they ALL deserve a chance at life and we want to give it to them. But we can't do that, without your help So won't you please give a donation to the rescued animals today, NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL. EVERY PENNY COUNTS~
~When saving animals from shelters, they often come to us sick or injured. The vetting costs of these animals can be into hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars. We often TRY to pull sick and injured animals, because when an animal goes into a shelter sick or injured, they are usually killed very quickly. Even if it is a simple URI (Upper Respiratory Infection), or KC (Kennel Cough), which are USUALLY cured with simple, inexpensive antibiotics, many shelters will kill them, rather than cure them. More severely injured or sick animals can be PTS (put to sleep) "KILLED", right after intake, as most shelters do not have the vetting capabilities needed for these animals, and even if they do, they do ONLY the very basics, because they do not intend to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars, on vetting, for ANY animal, when that animal will most likely be killed in there, very soon. So we take them in and get them well, if at all possible. We take the ones that would be left to die. The ones that are on the kill list and will die soon. Those are the animals we fight for. Those are the animals we need YOUR help saving. Your support gives those animals, some with a slight cold, that the shelter will kill them for, a CHANCE at a LONG, HAPPY life!! We have a very large feral cat colony here at our rescue also. We provide food, water and shelter from the elements, along with basic vetting and love! A few were here when we moved in a few years ago, many were dumped here, because people know we are a rescue and care for a large feral colony. Many more just show up. Never claimed by "owners", they are either permanent residents, or we try to adopt them out if they become social enough. We do not have a TNR (TRAP/NEUTER/RELEASE) program around here. We were told one was being started through our local shelter but we don't have a time frame as it takes a lot to do!!. So we have taken the responsibility, as any feral care taker should, of getting these animals altered. There are MILLIONS of animals being killed in our shelters each year, along with MILLIONS MORE that are abandoned, hungry, ill or injured and die in our streets each year. We refuse to add to those statistics by not altering the animals in our care, feral or otherwise! We need help in this as altering this many will be a HUGE undertaking, and our funding will not cover all of that. This is where you can make a MAGNIFICENT difference in the lives of the cats already here and their potential offspring. Off spring that would live a life of only God knows what. They usually end up ill, injured or starving. They end up being abused and killed by heartless people because they are feral/homeless!! Please help us end the cycle with a donation today.
